The Day That Heaven Smiled

A poem of hope, as found within the sunrise

Poem Artwork

A ray of light streamed ‘cross the sky
When morning reached the shore
To prove old memories never die
But live, forevermore
The clouds above were trimmed in peach
So soft, so sweet, so mild
And every dream was within reach
The day that Heaven smiled.

While bordered by the work of art
The Lord had redefined
Pure joy was found within the heart
Whilst peace fulfilled the mind
Within that time, the world was still
As glory rose and reigned
To rest inside the soul until
No breath in life remained.

A ray of light appeared at dawn
From paradise above
Providing strength to carry on
For those without their love
Their grief gave way to sunlit beams
So soft, so sweet, so mild
As angels took hold of their dreams
The day that Heaven smiled.

The sun didn't appear today, just broiling clouds of pending rain.

This is so good, the woords are inspirational, but they cann also be related to non-believers I believe, because of the wonderful message you have given the reader. Thank you and, alas and drat, I wish it were so every day of the year.
