My dearest friend, please do not cry
Your heart will beat beyond goodbye
Although you might not see it now
You’ll find the strength you need, somehow
Because your life has been so blessed
I know that you will pass this test
And find your way ‘neath skies of blue
To where your dreams shall all be true .

My dearest friend, I feel your pain
And know mere words cannot explain
The sense of loss you hold within
But I know you will rise again
Until that time, I will be here
To listen with an opened ear
Should you decide ‘tis best to share
The burdens you are forced to bear.

My dearest friend, please do not mourn
Your precious life has been reborn
I know that soon your heart will learn
The future waits at every turn
Please know that I am by your side
To wipe the grief-filled tears you’ve cried
Until your heart is on the mend
I wish the best for you, my friend.
