No Greater Sense

by Jill Eisnaugle — Read all 611 poems by Jill Eisnaugle

A different rhyme style for me but the message still remains. Love is a universal joy, despite all of the changes that occur in this life.

Poem Artwork

No greater sense of peace exists
Than when true love thrives and persists,
Submerging life’s hollow abyss
Upon the ocean floor.

Such love turns darkness into blue
Leading to dreams we never knew,
So when the light of day is through
Pain will be felt no more.

Each moment spent in love’s embrace
Brings forth an everlasting grace,
That thrives within the empty space
Where loneliness had grown.

So when the morning light appears
Peacefulness shall eclipse our fears,
Thanks to the love we longed for years
Now finally our own.

Yes Jill even in the sadess hours of love Ihave experienced in my lifetime, even with the broken hearts and betrayals known, I still believe as you that love is a gift that should be savored while it lasts and no one should give up on finding love.
