A sense of hope beyond belief
Perched high above the lawn
A dewdrop, resting on a leaf
Appears each day at dawn
Our sign that God is always near
This symbol of His grace
Was once an angel’s fallen tear
We are meant to embrace.

This tiny dewdrop holds the key
To what life has in store
For those of us who vow to be
Much better than before
This cherished gift God humbly shares
Upon each chosen leaf
Confirms how much He truly cares –
And longs to heal our grief.

A sense of hope beyond belief
When nighttime hours are done
A dewdrop, resting on a leaf
Glows ‘neath the rising sun
This gift from God, so calm and pure
Below the sky of blue
Freshens the soul while we endure
The day that will ensue.
