Dawn

A poem about the inner renewal we receive each and every morning.

Poem Artwork

As shadows slowly fade to gray
We wake to see another day,
Where hope and trust are made to stay
Within the heart and mind.

Each breath of freshness on the breeze
Allows our weary eyes to seize,
The beauty streaming through the trees
Though once, we had been blind.

This gift we hold within our hand
Reminds us that our lives are grand,
And while not always lived as planned
Each day, we carry on.

To face each challenge that appears
As days and weeks form months and years,
For through our smiles and through our tears
Our faith renews at dawn.

The ancients worshiped to sun, and so, in your own way, do you.

This is beautifully written wisdom Jill! Each day we awake to a new life if we think as we should. It gives us the impetus to begin anew and pray for the best, one day at a time;-)...Fine work!

The dawn whether speaking metaphorically or in reality is the hope in all of us that the past can be erased, improved, recovered or forgotten as we move forward in life to be better and do better then we did before. THis write captures the very essence of dawn and presents it for the readers insight. Sweet write Jill.
