When sunshine slowly fades away
And dreams are yours to keep
Within my heart is where you’ll stay
While you are fast asleep
I’ll hold you in my sweet embrace
To ease your doubt and fear
For there could be no better place
Than where your love is near.

When evening shadows reach your door
And moonlit beams are shown
I’ll rest beside you, evermore
So, you are not alone
I’ll fight the monsters ‘neath your bed
Until they disappear
Then, prepare for the day ahead
Grateful that you are here.

Within my heart is where you’ll be
‘Til morning greets your eyes
I’ll clutch your soul, close to my own
And pray your dreams are mild
No greater love could e’er be known
Than that for you, my child.
