I don’t need a dozen roses
Or a walk beside the sea
Sappy lines a bard composes
Or chocolate made by Hershey®
None of these could ever measure
To the special bond we share
For, my dear, you are a treasure
And I’m grateful you are there.

While our love could not be hampered
By the lap of luxury
My sweet soul feels just as pampered
By a night, filled with T.V.
As long as we are together
Nothing could ever mean more
Since as one, I know we’ll weather
Everything life has in store.

I don’t need a diamond pendant
Placed inside a heart-shaped box
I have never been dependent
Upon multi-carat rocks
All I want is here before me
In this love that I call mine
For, my dear, I do adore thee
You’re my perfect Valentine.
