Roses are red
Violets are blue
My heart’s been on fire
Since the day I met you
The sky is much bluer
The stars give more light
My love is much true r
With your smile in sight.

You echo each whisper
And melt o’er each sigh
You carry me higher
Than I thought I’d fly
You are with me each morning
Each noon and each night
To be my companion
My strength, my delight.

You have been my life raft
Through calm and through rough
My anchor, my fortress
I don’t tell you enough
How much I am grateful
That you’re by my side
To share every second
Of this earthen ride.

Therefore, in this moment
I promise to thee
As long as the shoreline
Is kissed by the sea
I’ll be here beside you
My love, yours alone
My life would mean nothing
If left, on my own.

These roses of red
And these violets of blue
Are rather unworthy
Of someone like you
So I wrote you this poem
As my means to convey
That I’ll love you forever
Happy Valentine’s Day!
