From my heart, I write this letter
Meant for you and you alone
Since no one could ever better
These precious days that we have known
In the time we’ve spent together
I have learned to trust my soul
For when lives combine and tether
Evermore, they shall be whole.

Sometimes, life beholds a danger
That forms straight out of the blue
Yet, when times cannot be stranger
We find ways to make it through
‘til the moment we are planted
Safely back on solid ground
Since we never take for granted
The priceless gift of love, we’ve found.

Rest assured, while each tomorrow
Brings a chance to start anew
Every day, my life shall borrow
Will be spent, right here with you
You have been my stunning sunrise
You have been my turtledove
And until God closes my eyes
I will share with you, my love.

From my heart, I write this letter
Meant for only you to see
So, you’ll know my life is better
When you are here, next to me
For unlike this note I’ve written
Our love shall not reach its end
I will be evermore smitten
By the likes of you, my friend.
