Once upon the month of May
Two hearts were joined for life
On that sacred springtime day
You became man and wife
Your union has made your lives whole - 
A blessing from above
No greater gift could touch the soul
Than everlasting love.

You’ve seen the sunlight reach the shore
While the sea kissed the sand
And like these blessings, evermore
You’ll travel, hand in hand
The special knot that binds you near
Shall never fade from view
So, your love will remain as dear
As when you said, I do.

Throughout the years, your bond has grown
Fondness has been your source
Neither of you will walk alone
Upon life’s charted course
For once upon each month of May
Despite the time, now passed
You will relive that sacred day
When you found love to last.
