Poem Artwork

If I begin to wander free
I pray you’ll take my hand
Then, lead me where I’m meant to be
On this course God has planned
Should I be lost, I’ll say a prayer
Then, place my faith in you
Because I know, if you are there
I’ll always make it through.

If I begin to fall from grace
I pray you’ll lift me high
Then, carry my soul to a place
Where my spirit shall fly
Should I lose sight, I know you’ll share
Your wisdom and your strength –
To prove how much you really care
You’ll travel any length.

If I begin to fade from view
I pray you’ll seize my heart
Then, keep it ever next to you
As you’ve done from the start
Should God decide my time is passed
And my soul should ascend
In my memory, these days will last
Thanks to my one true friend.
