The sun does not appear as bright
The sky is not as blue
The moments, once filled with delight
Are joyless, without you
I miss the hours we spent each day
I miss the laughs and fun
I wish there were a simple way
To relive times, now done.

I pray that you can find the words
To help me understand
How our lives became so absurd
When our time had been grand
This world can be a crazy place
Filled with loss and regret
Yet, know you've filled my life with grace
I shall never forget.

The days have become much to bear
The stars no longer glow
I miss the times when you were there
Much more than you could know
The miles between us might divide
Our lives, when day is through
Yet, while the distance may be wide
Please know that I miss you.
