Poem Artwork

One of these days, he will study
A way he can conquer his doubt
By stopping to get his hands muddy
Content, should he still go without
Not once will he question his meaning
On this day, he will travel in stride
From others’ support, he’ll be weaning
Newfound bravery, near to his side.

One of these days, he will travel
From where his bare palms touch the sand
To driving on roads paved with gravel
Leading to his commercial command
His business will become his stronghold
Bought with timeless hours and tears –
A sight for all others to behold
Proof of his laborious years.

One of these days, he'll find respite
Beneath cobalt skies at the beach
Then, reflect upon his vast progress
Grateful that luck came into his reach
Still, his mind will stay close to the memory
Of the time when his heart went without
On the sands, filled with iron and bravery
Where he finally conquered his doubt.

Many people work all their lives and never find success. But for those that do (you are right Jill) it is always best to remain humble and remember where you came from. Excellent Poem.
