I’ll wait forever and a day
If this what must be
My feelings will not fade away
You mean the world to me
I understand your need for space –
I have known all along
Yet, nestled within your embrace
Is right where I belong.

I’ll wait a lifetime, if I must
And harbor no regret
‘tis only your heart that I trust
And could never forget
You’ve opened my eyes to a home
Where love is fresh and new
From this locale, I’ll never roam
‘til I am free with you.

I’ll wait, throughout eternity
Even, if at the end
I leave with words still left to say
And dreams I’ve yet to tend
I recognize that goals can fade
As time moves, year-to-year
But, should my special hopes evade
I’ll keep your memory near.

I’ll wait forever and a day
If only in my mind
My feelings will not fade away –
Our lives are intertwined
Amid the beauty and bliss
I hold for you, alone
No love could ever surpass this
Which still remains unknown.
