You’ll be on my mind when the first hint of sun
Reaches the horizon as day is begun
There is no remembrance, I’d rather embrace
Than that of your impeccably handsome face
Each twinkle I see, looking into your eyes
Causes my heart to melt, more than you realize
Therefore, if I’m able to have just one present
Seeing your face at dawn would be utterly pleasant.
You’ll be on my mind when the lunch hour nears
As I sit and wait, while my Porterhouse sears
I’ll think of the dinner we shared by the bay
That romantic setting stole our hearts away
With every bite, I’ll remember your smile
And how, for one moment, our dreams were worthwhile
If I’d but one memory, this one would be fine
Since there’s no other soul with whom I’d want to dine.
You’ll be on my mind when the night is in view
When desires are mentioned and dreams do come true
There is not one memory I would rather keep
Than that of our love, every hour I’m asleep
When morning appears and the stars softly fade
I’ll think of the integral part you have played
In showing this world, far too often left blind
That love is the most priceless gift we will find.
