Soon, I will turn twenty-seven
One more year, a gift from Heaven
My life has been richly blessed
Each day is one of my best
Even when rainfall appears
I could not ever have fears
I am grateful for each morn
Dawned since the day I was born.

Life is a joy that I treasure
Each sunrise is such a pleasure
From early light ‘til nightfall nears
I ponder new and wild frontiers
As I reflect, within my mind
I see the roads I’ve left behind
And how each path has led the way
To the course I travel, today.

I can express I’ve no regrets
My life is as good as life gets
I may not have great wealth or fame
But I am happy, all the same
I see the world through hope-filled eyes
And smile, the moment I arise
For even if the day brings tears
I’ve known twenty-seven great years!
