Even though I am miles away
Please know I’m always here
I may not have the words to say
But, I will lend an ear
I’ll comfort you when you are sad
I’ll never let you down
And, if it helps to make you glad
I’ll serve to be your clown.

Until you see a brilliant star
Residing ‘round the bend
My thoughts will be where’er you are
Because you are my friend
Should life leave you battered and scarred
I may not make things bright
But, I’ll be here when times are hard
To be sure you’re all right.

Despite the fact I’m miles away
Please know I’m on your side
You’re always near, each time I pray
My arms are opened wide
To offer you a warm embrace
Though, we are far apart
For while I cannot see your face
You’re always in my heart.
