Remember when the butterflies flew softly on the breeze?
Remember when you said hello with the greatest of ease?
Remember when the starlight fell, come morning’s newborn glow?
Remember when I was someone you were grateful to know?
Remember when the springtime rain gave way to summer’s heat?
Remember when my smile could serve to make the day complete?
Remember when I let you pour your heart upon my sleeve?
Remember when I questioned why you felt you had to leave?
Remember when you spoke my name and jumped, due to the chance?
Remember when you shared your pain and I told you to dance?
Remember when your tender hand was clinched tightly with mine?
Remember when you longed to be my special Valentine?
Remember when the sea gulls flew across the sand so brown?
Remember when the clouds were high; the sky in fluffy down?
Remember when we talked for hours without missing a beat?
Remember when you let me know goodbye was bittersweet?
Remember when I gave my all, in each and every way?
Remember when my tears would fall, as I begged you to stay?
Remember when you turned and left, without any words spoken?
Remember when I hit my knees; my heart hopelessly broken?
Remember when you trudged ahead to follow all your dreams?
Remember when the stars gave way to beautiful moonbeams?
If you remember this, my love, you’ll note each beam is bright;
Then, you will see that I’ve moved on and everything’s all right.

As past experience has taught me, memories fade over time and in the end, we always find our way to where we're meant to be. ;-)
You're so strong-willed and content with your life, wherever it leads, that you have an amazing ability to make everyone around you, stronger, too. I am no exception; you help me more than you realize.
Hands down, you can write about anything!
Take care, my "sunshine,"

(((HUGS))) and much love from Burleson, your fellow Texas friend, Karen Lynn. :D
You delve where few dare to and make it believable - this is excellent!
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
Much enjoyed, I like the repetitive stanzas as a tool for conveyance. You capture love, alienation and loss with recovery very well.
