I know a heart, as good as gold
Filled with undying care
Someone who smiles when he’s not bold
One with much worth to share
A man who treats me like a queen
Without my need to prove
Someone unlike others I’ve seen
He lauds my every move.
His heartbeat pounds a melody
In perfect time with mine
Together, we’re a rhapsody
Of precious notes divine
His words create the chords of love
Our bond creates their flame
He is a blessing from above
I’ll never be the same.
I know a heart, as pure as snow
As light as summer’s breeze
Someone who is a joy to know
One who gives with such ease
‘tis my own heart he proudly stole
Our lives e’er bound by fate
Sweet bliss is found within my soul
For my beloved, Nate.
