Whenever my thoughts turn to you
I know I’m bound to find
A friend who lifts me when I’m blue
With words, soothing and kind
A tender, caring, giving soul
Sometimes misunderstood
Yet, one who has made my life whole
Because his heart is good.
 
I see the light amid the trees
When you’re guiding my way
You are someone who shares with ease
And never goes astray
Someone who loves through thick and thin
Content to let love show
You are always destined to win –
And so awesome to know.
 
Whenever my thoughts turn to you
I find myself in awe
You are a dear; loyal and true
You look past every flaw
You see the best inside my heart
In each and every way
Though, right now, we must be apart
Have a blessed birthday!
