My life knows the words to an eloquent song
Whenever I go forth alone
The melody soothes me when I’m less than strong
Each note harbors a welcomed tone
For three to five minutes, the lyrics I hold
Fill my heart with wisdom and grace
Their message within speaks of beauty untold
Restoring the smile to my face.
The tune speaks of hope, far removed from the loss
That grief often sends to the masses
When I hear the song, I know I am the boss
Remembering stress often passes
A series of chords and notes scrawled on a page
Balanced with a powerful meaning
Enlighten my heart, when o’ercome by rage
Assuring good times in the gleaning.
My life knows the words to a blessed refrain
A chorus I save in my heart
I recite the words when my life’s filled with rain
And sadness looks never to part
For three to five minutes, these soft lyrics soothe
Embracing my soul like a breeze
Their warm, earnest message holds steadfast to prove
I shall conquer the world, with ease.

Just my opinion but I think, "And sadness looks never to part" flows a little more smoothly in this line.
