A light shone brightly from the sky
An angel found his wings
To the earth, this cherub would fly
He’d conquer many things
He would embrace another’s heart
And offer lasting praise
With never a cause to depart
This bond would reign, always.
He’d hold the heart within his palm
He’d keep it safe from harm
With tender words, soothing and calm
This rare angel would charm
He’d be a source for sound advice
Wherever roads must lead
And he would never once think twice
To help fulfill a need.
A light shone brightly from the sky
Across the path he’d roam
Soon, the angel would realize why
The earth would be his home
He was given a special chore
Saved for a soul so mild
For life, the angel would adore
Being “Dad” to his child.

Jill, your Dad sure is a lucky man!

My first Father's Day with hubby Tom, will be another holiday to get through. Holidays are rough but reading this has put the spirit in my heart and I know he is o.k. and not in pain anymore. My Father was a special person to me too. Miss getting gifts for these two. Thank you for this special poem to honor Father's everywhere.
Absolutely beautiful, meaningful - my Daddy was special. Father's Day will be hard without him here - but I know he still watches out over me - thank you, well done -
(((HUGS))) and love, karla.
