I cannot hear a sound
you so close in this darkness
surrounding my heart
pain as I reach out
you are gone from me
alone,I cry
weak and weary soon to die
time
there is none left
I weeping tear
wondering where you are
my eyes are fading
fast asleep I must go
no pain must I feel
my toes are numb
my fingers I no not feel
my lips a lighter shade
of blue
so I am being told from up above
the lights are getting dimmer
by the minute so I think
no blanket shall I need
for feeling cold
I shall never feel anytime
soon.

Reviews of "And The Music Plays On (collaboration)"
Greetings Floreann. This work speaks to me, of the despair of lost love in a most succinct way. You have captured the mood, the feelings of helplesness that touches my inner self.
Thank you for sharing.

Love is universal and not limited to the most perfect among us. In this collection of romantic short stories and poetry, love comes to those who are decidedly imperfect, who possess very real human flaws, scars, and challenges. Awaiting us as we are.
