His words feed my soul!

Poem Artwork

Ambroisial pennings from your soul/

moves my spirit to extol/

the succulence of resplendent verse/

sweet nectar for a heart that thirsts/

and hungers for your sweet discourse/

an all consuming intercourse/

connecting we, in scripted climbs/

enraptured in its tone, sublime/

come write your name on Eagle's wings/

where hope abounds, and freedom rings/

across the pages of my mind/

cocoon me in your lucid rhyme/

Beloved, though the chasm's wide/

that separates our space in time/

your words speak in eternity/

they set my soul and spirit free/

Ambroisial pennings from your soul/

moves my spirit to extol/

the beauty of your artistry/
that stands alone, majestically

With the cadence that this poem contains, there is a sweeping motion so smooth and divine that the words unfurled for me like a silk ribbon. Your expression of appreciating another's writings emerges the way nuances in fine wine make themselves known. Stunning poem, Shirley. ~~ DIana

a song of love and making love
and with your gentle push and shove
you rise above it all and grant
love's pure devotion in a chant
what makes this perfect, makes it true
within the rhythm you find you
