I was running but not getting anywhere;

Falling off buildings and cliffs onto a lighter air.

And I bet they thought they could take me - away to some field or a hollowed clasp... thousands of them, to oppress on me their will and hope for my collapse.

But I was slick and sharp in wit, ere I escaped;

when a sudden noise , cracked! shooked my bed and made me wake...
