Only Christ stands alone This early spring day morn, Just outside the tomb and rolled away stone. He stretches forth pierced hands To be soothed by a heavenly snow For His body which was flogged amidst scorn. Scurried flies of glitter-white Stir a thin-nit dance on downward flight. Softly they flutter aimlessly around red prim-tipped Garnished thorns in swirls and heaps, Covering over a grave injustice as Mary weeps. This Heavenly snow- Some men may touch yet never shall hold, Adorns in might and splendor The resurrection of my Lord.
