Red Roses for my Love

There stands a rose bush outside our front door.

Each spring there grows red roses to bloom once more.

This bush was planted there by my one true love.

She prodded them and coaxed them to respond as the sun shines above.

I watched as each year the bush grew, expanded and reached upward toward the sun.

Roses grew, blossomed and bloomed till the summer was done.

The love of my life had given life to these beautiful flowers

And now as we watch them grow and blossom each year their beauty is ours.

I thank my love for this plant and for all the love it represents.

The flowers are a reflection of her love, our life and a lifetime of events.

When I smell these roses I am reminded of my deep love for wife.

She is beautiful like the rose, the love of my life.
