Due to U.S. passport requirements, Canadians will also need one from Canada to cross the border. Thousands of them find that their U.S. birth certificate is insufficient to acquire a Canadian passport, that they are not full Canadian citizens. On the other hand, pregnant and soon-to-be pregnant illegal aliens are pouring across the U.S. southern border to acquire U.S. citizenship for their offspring. All these �border babies� should automatically attain citizenship of their mother�s country. This would eliminate some of the problems we�re seeing these days.

Should a baby, foreign born, Be bound by law to an outland? From mother’s nation be torn, Birthed to a alien brand? For now we need a passport To trip to Canada’s state, Canadians, to comport, Must have one at near date. But some were born here, Perhaps for hospital stay, Papers not fixed by 24th year, Canadian passport — no way! Majinot line of southern border, Pregnant illegal aliens breach, Not by Hitler’s brash order, But by stealth, the U.S. reach. Progeny’s citizenship, in effect, Dreamed up and planned out, Legal status scheduled to inject, And emigration bring about. Under this rule, we can see, Panama can claim McCain, And thus, U.S. pres can’t be, Not “natural born,” they explain. Does this mess make any sense? These rules are stupid, of course, International law, forever hence, Must set citizenship’s source. Mother to child, status must pass, Like her milk, a nativity bond, Border babies gone as a class, If States claim citizens born beyond. © 2008 R. Leland Waldrip

The old rules don't apply any more, but they are hard to change. Here in Texas, where Anglos wrested the land from its Mexican owners by force, they've always been given free passage to tend the crops.

The birthplace rule is ridiculous and needs immediate changing. Spouting stories of past immigrant success will not stem the bleeding from illegals working the system.

LELAND - WELL PENNED MY FRIEND!

In the military, when trash needs to be picked up, the Sarge says: "Police the area! All I want to see is ASSHOLES and ELBOWS!" Those few words totally describe our illustrious Congress!

Looking back in time, just WHO made up the majority of population in these few South-Western states? Texas, California, Arizona, New Mexico <--- THAT is a strong CLUE - NEW MEXICO ---> Spanish Land Grant Holders, and Mexican PEONS. Is it no wonder then, that these predecessors started MAKING BABIES faster and faster a long time ago?

THEY have had about 150 years of INFILTRATING this English-Speaking country - and growing their Minority into a HUGE number, and especially by also INFILTRATING into political offices, thereby passing LAWS to promote their OWN KIN!

SUGGESTION :- How about we just SELL THESE FOUR STATES BACK TO MEXICO? Then they would all be MEXICAN CITIZENS AGAIN, and we can build a NEW WALL at the new Borders, farther to the North, Perhaps the remaining 46 can survive WITHOUT THEM?
