Through it one is taken on a journey
Of pure  pleasure into another world
The entire orchestra is outstanding
It had to be, to match the opulent film
One of the most visually beautiful
And enchanting movies I've ever seen

As I enter the world of the Geisha
I see a life of total dedication
It takes hard work and dicipline
To become facile in the arts required
Getting dressed and applying make-up
Takes hours of study and application
Learning how to be pleasing as you serve
Taking lessons in artistic performance
Dance, musical instruments, voice lessons
All are part of the Geisha's repertoire

They have to belong to a special house
One where you answer to the host mother
You are not free to choose who you entertain
Geisha's are not prostitutes as some believe
They are highly trained in the arts and paid
To be pleasing in companionship and service

I highly recommend this movie if you like sumptuous beauty and a good story with fantastic acting, and a splendid soundtrack!
