Awash An Ocean UniVerse

Awash an ocean,
           of forget me naughts -
                         wilts,
  Thou current rip tides -
           twist and
                   dew churn about.
  Too and fro,
           dye tears pass,
                 water fall pool mirrors
  That congeal,
          amidst,
                   what could of been -
                             thoughts.
  Aghast donut holes,
             skinny dip void,
                    fill acidic doubts.
  Draft of time,
          gravitates graduation mirror -
                    off kilter
  Fraught in wrought
           cesspoor mire,
                      one walks alone,
  Upon a see scape,
            skelton scrape,
                         serene solemn escape.

This the midnight,
           past dawn,
                         amid sun crypt shadows,
  Worn in out,
          been a live,
                    one inhales one's mortality heart,
Echoing those ripple nipple winkles -
              cold as frozen frigid ice.
  Shiver a lone,
          dew dry whispers,
                  within wisks,
                          without worn hope.
  Coffin shell,
           be thou stiff soul,
                     run true ,
                                threw empty trill chambers.
  To War,
             To War,
                         TOO War chimes,
                                   come home vacaded Veterans.
  Whose Will,
           become mummyfied compliant,
                    complancent morgues.
  Scream Veterans,
            thy rail of nail pounding,
                           lightning struck thunder.

Awash an ocean of Gorilla glue,
          one awaits,
                        a grave set setting
  That time will tell,
             when the hammer will fall,
                         in a guilitine chop.
  An American,
                Vietnam War Veteran,
                               dead poet society headstone,
 Stenciled in Eternities,
                  Home Sweet Home,
                                  one will for ever more,
  Never more,
write live rhyme ocean of time,
                               across oceans of words.
  That in live,
               it was Vietnam War Veteran
                           'Terminated for Poetry."
  But alas,
                upon the heavens,
                             the War inside is over,
                                        Rested In Pieces

In either form, this is a majestic poem that covers all of your angst in one mighty sweep from the slow deterioration of depression into the utter hell of cold death, the humiliation of being, "fired for poetry," and the struggle with PTSD.

Thank you for your service and for your outstanding poetic expression of what it's like to have been there, done that, and survived to tell the tale.

Ron
