The Sea Saw

by David Lester Young — Read all 1,103 poems by David Lester Young

Eye sea, I saw, we see, or eyes seen, eye to I, upon a see-shore scene. Eye say can you see the to and fro sea saw rocking chair.

The Sea Saw

The sea saw - the tide slide out,
While rough surf was silenced still.
Wet sand bleached, dried white,
So wind could again build sand dunes.

Sand castle sculptures crumbled away.
To Be, is what was, loose sand again
Rhymes amid foundation of time traveled:
What arises, Bee it tall as trees, will fall.

See saw, to and fro, rocking porch chair,
Rut squeaking plank plied creased cracks
Weather worn seer butts, dew pillow ponder,
For yonder RIP Tide in dye last “Sea Saw.”
