Sometimes Love is like a hornet nest, while at other times That Perfect Rose.

Poem Artwork

Too Bee Stung

Welted words, sting solemn, hornet’s nest
Racing free verse, rickety split, strung syllables
Forget-me-nots leaves, I am Too Bee a poet
Whilst another barks, You are knot Too Bee.

Knock, knock, on knotty pine, thy finger struts
Whose there, tis a nobody skeletal key bit bard
Barbs be thorns of a Perfect Rose, picked barren
But alight emotions, veins flow Love - SO ecstatic.

Too Bee Stung by Love and Poetry, bee quite contrary
Can one, Love one, another in passionate expressions
Can one, rake nails in wants Too Bee Stung full of Love
Can one, melt mellow - heated friction in More, MORE.

Yet, more consternation exists, in duet - singles mingle
For when one sways, another sashays an intertwined tingle
Pull another Forget-me-not, leaves Love Naught Too Bee
Jest fast fling with a hornet welt, healing over heart’s rhyme.

When does Love start, end, rewind fast-forward-backward
Forget-me-nots bare limbs flails that hornet nest swelled heart
Love Me, Love Me Naught - knots twist turn tears into years
Plastic smile, empty soul, thy WILL will wilt in Poetry feelings –
Too Bee Stung.

David Lester Young plays with words like a child with a cupboard full of toys. Always fun to read--and enlightening.
