The Words The World The Circle The Center The Compass The Spokes

by David Lester Young — Read all 1,103 poems by David Lester Young

The Circle, The Center, The Compass, The Spokes of HeArtMosphere must evolve and revolve around The World with The Words evolving human-kind Universal Understanding.

I grew with that 1963 MLK, "I Have A Dream" as a Liberal Camelot Nottingham Kennedy Knight, That dream is fading fast, as we go backward with Hate again, defeating Love.

Yes, as a white Catholic teenager, it was hell, to say BLM, back then. It was A WASP America, White Anglo America Protestant segregated paradise.

The Words The World The Circle The Center The Compass The Spokes

The Words
The World
The Circle
The Center
The Compass
The Spokes

Wherein one’s HeART
can souls create
crystal loving life
HeArtMosphere,
Implanted -
wrestle divine
blessed birthrights
dew gem blossom forthright
DeTermination rooted deep
amidst core conception –
Bee living fertile seeds
Dye mist I’s mind
must stain
thy rein of tears
evoking America’s
Vocal Dream

Oh The Words of woe
that Rake The World
whence Love
be dye decimated
Dew cry
a lone tear-drop
falling torn-down
quick shiver fear -
polished dull mirrors
Over-caste caskets
quake thy heartbeat
womb entombed
stone chill
silent c-old
As sighs of the Cross
grow lone weary
amid “I Have A Dream “ -
fail lured promises

The Circle;
be dire writing current
clockwise pyre motion
in counter-clockwise emotions
Tick up pitter consonant
tock down patter vowels
roller coaster vibrant elocution.
The Circle;
bee that time
does evolve clockwise
birth to death trail-way
pathways
Where dye haste words
cemented head-stoned
whilst thy Love
forever be remembered.

The Center;
cognitive To Be
cerebral gray area
Poet Tree branching
nerve ending thoughts
Whence white winces
absorb bark ink stains
that permeate paper fiber
around life sense tenses
The Center;
BEE spark enlightened -
corporeal outer universe;
spectral  UniVerse
inner soul bearings
UniQue be-switching knowledge
beyond preset
constricted confined boundaries –
Open Minds.

The Compass:
Be humanity that encompasses
The World in The Words
navigating around history
Northern and Southern hemispheres;
using cognitive human mind hemispheres
hysteresis lapses.
The Compass:
Birth gives us
hospital coordinates
wherein home dwellings

we encompass existence
Whence written Will,
wilts dye testament
RIP resting placemat;
epitaph be full filled –
covered over.

The Spokes:
regurgitate time pocket cycles
over and under
repetitive redundant
hereditary hypocrisy
Work spokes
Monday-Friday mundane routines
needing daydream vacations
to survive complacency.
The Spokes;
bear sunrise beginnings
weather wrought hope
around  sunset
preordained redundancy

Today “I Have A Dream”
that life has more to offer
than broken spokes -
Thee soul must
skinny dip Poetry.

The Words
