That in any Republic
Democracy be Paramount.
That America be naught
One Party nor
One Man Ruled
We are born with Birthrights
a gist individual voting Rights
That to abridge
certain civilian segments
is plain sacrilegious
“We The People”
are one vote
accruing Our Great Democracy
We cannot abort Voters
who don’t follow
One Man commandments.
Dynasties have long decimated
civilian run civilizations
Sentinel Guardians have long
used the Sword of Poetry
Poets have long met fatal fates
upon defending Democracy
Jail imprisoned
censure censored silent
zealot retribution
Exiled
excommunicated
shunned by peers
who bee mindless clones

I cannot stomach either party because they will not discuss, even within their parties, alternative, cooperative ways of solving problems rather than using filibusters and loading bills with porkbarrel subsidies and other pet projects, while jacking up their salaries with every Congress. Even their surveys are always, all or nothing, giving no vent for those of us who value different opinions and strategies than those predominantly heralded by the Republicans and Trump signifying the end of that party if it doesn't change course.
Well said and I'm glad you are branching out into confronting some of the hard issues that face us today in a predominantly stalemate state. Can poets break us free? I don't know. Is anyone reading poetry these days?
