Dost Thou Wilt Awry

by David Lester Young — Read all 1,103 poems by David Lester Young

Invisible Art the words never seen, betwixt closed eye to eye lids never spoken, muted to others. Invincible BEE, those words that reach out and grab your attention, bearing insight reflections to ponder upon, your journey.

Dost Thou Wilt Awry

Saline ocean faceless,
dew tarnish tear drops mirrors
Be past do solemn reflections
that RIP tides Woke Wake
Hooves Bee,
washed smooth,
out onto see escapes
Forlorn yesteryear memories,
blossom quake sprout spuds.

Dye soul Will wilts,
fallow Bee Poet Tree –
bite barks barren
Words crisp en-crusted composts,
blown bye wrought winds
Gusts swirling,
whirling writ whirlpools,
kneading knot knees
To plant fertile future footing,
to seed terse verse Temple Lobes.

What if, long lone gone.
What be left, this muddle morass
Hour glass cock, moaning mooring
increased hallow orifices
Quick sand pores,
sandstone landscape,
shifting willow wills
Dreary facial Rembrandts,
composite composure cracks dry.

Age spots dost wither youth,
mired mid weather leather raw hide
What was anew presence,
slips beyond birth,
aging bark echo rings
Whence thy eyes form eyeglass,
sad saddles insight,
focuses fractured
Indentured,
mid skeletal frame vanishing cream:
Dost Thou Wilt Awry

Your alliteration and well-chosen words conjure up many images as I read this poem. While you off repeat the same words throughout your poetry, they regain new meaning as you piece them together in a kaleidoscope of thoughts ranging from anguish to triumph.

I agree with TW below. You are an original, not bound like so many poets to traditional words and structure.

Bonjour Monsieur Joven! You are forever playful and serious, young and medieval, alliteratively elastic with letters and phonemes which to you are atoms/cells-molecules/quarks to be cloned, kneaded and coalesced, to be reminded that the "whole" is part and parcel of yet another dimensional parallel world of parts to be moulded together again and again ad infinitum: dost thou agree - sound sense/non-sense - the multi-verse of worlds concatinating in the furnace of your will-fully up-and-inturned eyes right where the centre has shifted and split-knocked the billiard balls of denotations and connotations into whatever the reader can make of it all...

Be assured, you are an original like very few can be!
