bee
well-treaded over
Bears pothole
resurfacing patches
Faded yellow demarcation,
dost awaits
Its orange cone
yearly repainting.
For sale sign here,
then sold some time
Walgreen corner with
Church’s Chicken
Taco trailers pop up,
between everywhere
Ah,
my Starbuck coffee,
must have daily stop.
Smelling simmering
brew smell
past Free Library
School zone ahead,
beware of cop,
with radar.
Traffic slowing
to a crawl,
inching slowly upon
Sipping Starbucks on the ~

A good friend of mine and advocate for the disabled, is taking a 5K run through the city soon and raising funds for his organization and Adapt. He recently described the path that he will take to accomplish his 5000 yard journey through Austin, but once a year. A path well taken that I wish I could still run with him.
