Round A Bout Texas
Feeling no pain
sipping a Lone Star
Forgetting,
who I took home
last night
Since,
I woke up a lone,
smelling of perfume
Trying to remember,
who wore its fragrance.
Her haunting perfume
fragrance never faded
So a Cinderella
perfume search
sniffer started
Here a sniff,
there a sniff,
everywhere a sniff~sniff
Why,
oh why,
he had to find
this women of desires
What was it about
her intoxicating fragrance
Mid the Lone Star brew
memory recollections
That left her haunting leftover
clinging pillow presence
Where having friends
in low places
have to be sniffed out
Her haunting perfume
fragrance never faded
So a Cinderella
perfume search
sniffer started
Here a sniff,
there a sniff,
everywhere a sniff~sniff
Why,
oh why,
he had to find
this women of desires
Ever see a man sniffing
perfume fragrances at Macy’s
Telling salesperson
you are looking
for a certain smell
For your future wife
to wear at night
with sexy negligee
But it seems smells differs,
upon each woman makeup.
Her haunting perfume
fragrance never faded
So a Cinderella
perfume search
sniffer started
Here a sniff,
there a sniff,
everywhere a sniff~sniff
Why,
oh why,
he had to find
this women of desires
So with sex perfume scents,
one searches for Cinderella
With one sniffing,
without drawing
too much attention
After all,
one has reputation as
Country Romeo to uphold
With all those mixing
feminine perfumes
to confuse one.
Her haunting perfume
fragrance never faded
So a Cinderella
perfume search
sniffer started
Here a sniff,
there a sniff,
everywhere a sniff~sniff
Why,
oh why,
he had to find
this women of desires
What if
she changed perfumes,
moved far away
So many nostril possibilities,
where whiskey abounds
To Confuse a Romeo Confucius
upon a sniff quest
“Life is really simple,
but we insist on making it”
Perfume intoxicating female
“complicated.”

Truly original and fun to read especially that last, very revealing, stanza.
