Sky News contributor Kristin Tate says the world "saw a lion" in the moment Donald Trump stood up defiantly while rallying his supporters after having just been shot and injured in a failed assassination attempt.
Donald Trump is recovering after surviving an assassination attempt on his life at his recent rally.
Speaking to Sky News Australia on Sunday evening, Ms Tate reflected on the moment Donald Trump was shot.
"It showed how strong Donald Trump is – that guy is such a fighter.
"To get shot like that and then immediately put your fist up in a show of strength and tell your supporters 'fight, fight, fight', we saw a lion in that moment.
"And I think it made people so proud of Donald Trump."

The targets now are freedom of speech in books, taking away women's rights to their own bodies, using young people to flight wars over money and then leaving those veterans destitute and often, mentally disturbed without treatment, and forcing, once again all people into two distinct sexes and classified races according to their supposed worth to society.
The final straw is when a ex-president does not have the understanding of national monuments to stomp on them as though they were his to use for his self-promotion like disrupting a peaceful demonstration in front of the White House by brandishing a Bible that he probably never has read.
