Harp strings are polished, no salt-water corrosion, this needs to be recited with an accompaniment of harp, La Belle, this puffs out the sails in the romance of brogue...a tankard of conversation fluid stout on lager to ya Belle...Cheers!

Belle - this is so well written - the language works so well and the story told is a beauty, very romantic, you write romance so well - 'and on tha endless shore, each new dawn...' well, at least she's up early... very good poem, Belle, Nicky x

Your poem reminds me of the long past days when wives and mothers kept a lantern burning in a window for the sailor husbands, sons. A very romantic write indeed. Enjoyed.
