The Lady And The Libertino

Her skin was as white as a porcelain doll,
Milky in moonlight, pale in sun
Her heart taken with a suave libertino
thief of hearts, who oft loved on the run
The color of caramel candy was his skin,
his hair black as a moonless midnight
The paleness of her verdant eyes adored
the way depths of his dark ones flashed light

Too many years and too many men
she was jaded and undone with the game
but when she met that suave libertino
she knew her heart would never be the same
Tender his words, hot enough to melt iron
and touches to take captive her soul
Romantic verses glided from silver tongue
He was brazen, beautiful and bold

How many Spanish Angels had he held
neath harvest moons of orange or gold?
How many sets of sultry, scarlet lips
had he kissed on nights long and cold?
She was so Celtic; pale skin and eyes
with a firey flash of copper hair
and to so many dusky Spanish Angels
how could she possibly hope to compare?

Would he despise the translucence
of her body contrasted with his hands?
In her thoughts the beauty of caramel
above all other colors stands
For all that the many Spanish Angels
might offer her libertino in the night
none could give him pale jade eyes,
copper tresses nor satin flesh so white

Upon the winds of sleeplessness
he secretly came to her at night
In his eyes her passion unraveled
in his arms she greeted the light
Honey vanilla swirled with creamy caramel
what an exciting erotic treat
Never had the Lady and the Libertino
tasted a desert quite as uniquely sweet
