Two Barbarous, Sensual Animals

Poem Artwork

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In The Wild
By La Belle Rouge
he stalks me from the shelter
of a lush, dark forest of lust
and slowly burns me to live ashes
with the fire of his feral eyes
a primal panther of a man
heart wild, breath hot
muscles ripple with each move
as he crouches low and waits
to pounce on my excited libido
and capture me, body and soul
where can you find any shelter
from such a powerful predator
if you should seek to hide at all?
his words smoothly slink through
all the holes of my defenses
bound over the walls of my fortress
primal his presence, swift his attack
we wrestle in the night shadows
and kiss with a fierceness of spirit
only known to creatures of pain
his touch liberates the wildcat
two barbarous, sensual animals
locked in an ancient hold of desire
with bared teeth and claws
that bite to the core of passion
and claw bloody, deep furrows
on the back of civil restraint
for we are not civil... nor gentle
in the shadows where the panther tries
but can never quite tame his mate
Like a Bengal Tiger, if enter my domain, I will take all if I please, to fear I will show my claws and my fangs, to challenge my deepest roar, but to kindnes I will show no menace, just protection and a place to hide under my skin.
