Are You Magic?

Poem Artwork

Ode To A Druid Prince
By La Belle Rouge

And tell me, Beautiful Bard
are you a druid spirit, a priest,
a ruler of olden celt domains?
Do you chart the course of stars
and the path to a lady’s heart?

Do you chant the forgotten words
that open mysteries’ doors
and set afire the hidden elements
deep within a woman’s soul?

Are you an alchemist who transforms
the mundane into golden dreams
and brings to life those vanished days
of kings and the queens they won?

You are no fair faced youth
with foolish fumbling hands
Your beard graced with silver threads
Your love mature, experienced

Aye and would you explore
those olden times in verses eloquent
with kisses sublime
from lady of ripe crimson lips, red silk hair
a poetess to match thee, verse for verse?

Come away with a me, to ancient nights
bold druid priest and celtic goddess
under circling stars and silvered moon
to build our own ageless monument to love

I'm really beginning to track, trace an enjoy your work as you grow in stature almost day top day. Your image-making is superb, your themes ring bells in my heart and your evocation of the depth of longing in a romatic's spirit are impeccable.

Love it and look forwards to much, much more.

the heat of ancient fires upon cliffs where rocks have aged and tell the tales of centuries of mankind - so dwells these words, a voice in the present echoing of spirits and passions that were born in the past. the "feel" of the poem reaches out from the words and into the waiting body.

lol. I love it. Well, this Swedish princess is going to go decipher her Nordic runes and see what they will say about all this. I believe, yes, it is a fehu or in other words "ambitions realized." The Celtic goddess will receive her wish. lol. Enchanted again by what lurks in the mind of La Belle Rouge. Liz
