He is more than a muse to me
though his love has always lifted
my heart upward to celestial realms
and borne my body deeper into the
grottoes of love’s erotic extremes
He is a breath of Spring in Autumn
and a spoonful of whipped cream
atop a steamy cup of hot chocolate
He is more than a muse, so much more
Danger and desire, safety and comfort
He is my mystery never yet solved
and my truth eternally understood
One touch of his aura, I’m warmed
One intimate endearment from his lips
and I’m afire with crimson delight
One kiss between our married souls
and the universe spreads at my feet
a carpet of soft shimmering stars
Our love is a gift to cover the Earth
in a word blanket of passion’s fabric
spun on looms of love’s inspiration
More than a muse, more than a man
with mere ordinary bent of character
Love unleashed, passion personified
To him I am as Clio and Calliope
for our history has been recorded
among the ancient songs of stars
Oft as Erato, I offer him inspiration
to lofty heights of erotic worship
and dark depths of longing madness
More than a poetic muse in his eyes
I am serene love and boiling passion
Breasts created to pillow his thoughts
Siren songs to echo across his heart
shamelessly raising every imagination
We are the mystery of muses in love
In your prelude you wrote..."one word, one kiss" I believe that solves the mystery...for that one voice becomes one heart. Is it any wonder? How beautiful this truly is...and is why you are the best romance poet ever.
