at lunchtime she calls him
on his cell telephone

and I aint got no panties on

when you comin home?”


drunk on anticipation
don’t need no whiskey
mama done called him
and she’s feelin frisky


he tells his secretary
there’s an big emergency
he’s gotta get right home
no more clients to see

the freeway’s congested
he takes a traffic chance
all hurried and hyped up
about some hot romance

he runs up the walkway
turns the front door key
