Scandalous Exploits And Indecent Indiscretions

I suppose we could make use
of the bedroom
but why not
in the garden under a full moon?

in the dusty library among rare books
or the kitchen table
while our dinner overcooks?

under stately magnolias
or on peaceful riverbank
white beach sand or boardwalk planks?

we could always do it
late at night
but why not dare full daylight?

revel in sweaty fun
of a sultry summer sun
while crickets sing a tune
in July, August or June

would you like it on a train
or under a streetlamp
in the misty Autumn rain?

if people pass by
we’ll act like we don’t see
as if there’s no one in the world
but you and me

we could do it hearthside
in frosty wintertime
at horse races behind the stable
would be just fine

such scandalous exploits
and indecent indiscretions it’s true
would get tongues wagging
about me and you

however, wherever, whenever
I fail to see
why anytime, anywhere
you can’t dance with me
