out of time... and out of step
with society that has forfeited
timeless creativity of romance
out of time, stepped our love
amid distant booms of thunder
existing in the electric dreams
circling between kindred hearts
and enfolding psyches securely
within a gossamer veil of stars
out of time but not out of place
love that germinated in antiquity
secretly entwining into crevices
of our yesterdays and tomorrows
like a sweet, invasive jasmine vine
its heady fragrance drifting softly
on breezes of sensual familiarity
penning poetry of many lifetimes
with scarlet ink coursing inward
just the thought of your hands
holding mine through the storm
resurrects hope from her grave
and the tender brush of your lips
against mine in the night of pain
seduces me once again as before
when love was young and vibrant
and all the earth lay within reach
long before we were out of time
Susan, a poignant message crafted gently with inner compassion by your gifted pen my dear friend. The title hangs over my psyche, melancholy, hopeful. I bid you love and peace. Jon Michael

But the beauty of this is that both lovers seem to be "on the same page." Thank you for sharing this romantic offering, Belle. Love and best wishes to you,
Belle, this is exquisite. It's like it was written for me about my very own "yesterdays and tomorrows" .... "long before we were out of time" Super job. Love it.
Thank you Dick.
