Eternal Ties
By La Belle Rouge

A Sonnet Of Love

There is no price that thou might pay
To see soft light of love in my eyes
When we have turned to night our day
And whispered such sweet brazen lies.
There is no treasure of silver nor gold
To buy my warm favors of love and lust.
No ransom required, no spoils of old;
All such fortune will, in time, turn to dust
But nuzzle neck and kiss deep my lips
If thou wouldst my cherished lover be.
From chalice of desire I will offer sips
’Neath sheltering branches of willow tree.
For love is won and can never be procured
Without shared longing and passion pure.

There are no pleas that thou couldst make
That would loosen laces of lace bustier
But if with boldness my bounty you take
I will lay with thee ’til the break of day;
And give unto thee all a woman may give
When a man dwells within pounding heart.
In the place we once touched again to live
And pray God we nevermore must part.
Every former vow we will whisper again
Fly with me as before upon passion’s gale
And give no thought as to questions of sin
While within wild ocean of yearning we sail.
Love once lost is discovered in our eyes
Where heart to heart eternal are our ties.

Belle, Stunning, passionate, erotic, definitely
'eternal ties' of love.
Always,

... and, heart to heart, doing about 35 knots, I'd say! The winds of an eternal love fan the fires that will never be quenched. Beautiful lines perfectly entwined around a full-fathom passion sourced in mirrored eyes. Piquant precision as always. xx

ah to have and to hold a rare flower of the South as you are and to let the world pass us by as fireflies dance and children laugh and the old dream would be an Eternal Tie no one would ever forget

It is easy to let oneself dream and to slip into the aura that your verses create, Belle; it is pleasant to be intimate with the images and sentiments that they elicit. Thank you. Love and best wishes,

Regis

It is within these lines you state
that a heart weeps from within
if it comes to end at heavens gate
then I shall perish in such sin
consider fast as eyes are cast
an ear is bent to whispers fair
if I am not first then I am last
I by memory shall still be there

These didn't just hop off the keyboard, for sure, Belle,
they are wrought, refined, crafted works
and they are very fine indeed.

Out of the two I preferred the first one, but that is just my personal choice, because both were expertly done and sensuously delivered. Bill is smiling.
