Has an old-fashioned quality to it, like a the poem crafted in the nineteenth century. Winters were harsher then, and summer blooms were expected from well-kept gardens.

Since I am late in getting to an appointment I had no intent of commenting on what I read here while sipping my coffee...but this is far to beautiful and hopeful for me not to leave you kudos, La Belle. This poem is perfectly paird with one of my favorite pieces of music. Your words gently bathe the soul like the whisper of love floating upon the wind. I truly love this.

What beautiful prose La Belle Rouge, of love
and sometimes the ups and downs, the fading and
blooming.

Gardenias are one of my most favorite
flowers, the essence is pure ambrosia to the senses
with delicate petals that cannot be touched lest
they turn brown.
