and took my breath away with passion.
Before the rain came on winds of twilight
lightning flashed and thunder boomed
like the climaxing of two lusty titans
behind a screen of dripping grayed skies.

no man had ever touched before.
You quoted your own poetry at midnight
more real and flammable than Byron,
and took away my breath with deep kisses
as I watched you stealing the midnight stars
Ahhh . . . Two people of the same mind, allowing the master's words touch you and by touching you he was consumed by you. Wonderful retelling of this one, La Belle. Don't bother telling me it wasn't drawn from memory, I shan't (love that word) believe it. I absolutely get "You quoted your own poetry at midnight / more real and flammable than Byron."
