You gave more than lip service to this one. But in a kiss of silence, the lips do much more than simply flapping. Fortunately I have not experienced the thinning of aging lips… Yet… And hope to escape them for passionate kisses to the end of my days.
The concept of youth is confused with chronological age. Love imposes no such limits and will always be expressed by those that are truly in love. Mature lips deeply in love are just as expressive and passionate as those of youthful love without the deepest of convictions. A romantic poem that touches my heart Belle.
Very sensual write. At the age of seventy-two one can only lament the passing of their youth. With this one you have placed me in that dream world of days gone by—to a time when passion was alive and real, not just fleeting thoughts as in old age. Enough said.
Ah, La Belle, as we age we wish for our younger excelling passion could flow within our lips, and other places and things. Your poem points out that what we sometimes believe has been laid low with aging's waste, is just right for someone who knows how to appreciate passion, even though we underrate ourselves. Very good poetry . . .
